The Geobiodiversity Database) is a system for managing and doing analysis with stratigraphic and paleontological data. This includes research on regional and global correlation, quantitative stratigraphy, systematics, biodiversity dynamics, paleogeography, and paleoecology. GBDB was established in 2012, and it is based at the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology (NIGP). Data in GBDB are largely focused China and the United Kingdom.
